Styled Somewhere Website Design

This project brought together my love for fashion, travel, and web design through Styled Somewhere. This is a conceptual website and app that helps users plan what to wear based on where they’re headed. Users can search cities they’re visiting to scroll through real outfit posts, shop exact pieces through direct links, and discover local stores recommended by other travelers. The app filters looks by location, season, and category, making it easy to find outfits that match the vibe of any destination. I designed the full layout with a clean, modern feel, developed the visual identity, and used all my own photography, including outfit shots of myself and my friends, to keep the experience personal and authentic. This project not only highlights my skills in visual design but also shows my ability to build and conceptualize a fully functioning, user-focused concept from scratch.

PAGE DESCRIPTIONS

Home Page

The home page sets the tone with a clean, modern layout and an easy-to-navigate top bar linking to “Home,” “Destinations,” “Profile,” and “About.” This landing page introduces users to what Styled Somewhere is all about, helping travelers explore real outfit inspiration and shop looks based on where they’re headed. To make outfit discovery easier, the page features curated collections like Shop by Collection, which includes broader edits like the Europe Edit for those browsing by region rather than a specific city. The Featured Destinations section highlights specific cities and countries, allowing users to quickly tap through outfit galleries and shop directly. Lastly, Featured Profiles spotlights well-traveled users who offer outfit inspiration across multiple destinations, with detailed links to each look and shopping recommendations for when you've reached your destination.

Destinations Page

The Destinations page is built for easy exploration, whether users know exactly where they're headed or just want outfit ideas based on a vibe. At the top, a search bar allows users to look up specific cities, countries, or regions. For a more flexible experience, the site also suggests broader categories like “Beachy” or “Cold Weather” for users looking to browse outfit inspiration by style or climate rather than a set location. Below the search, featured destinations are displayed with a preview of user-submitted outfit posts on the left and a call-to-action button, “Explore Paris Posts”, that invites users to dive deeper into each location’s full gallery of looks, links, and recommendations.

Destination Detail Page

After selecting or searching for a specific location, users land on the Destination Detail Page, a curated page for outfit inspiration tailored to that city or country. At the top, filter buttons let users narrow their results by Season, Weather, Style, or Activity, making it easy to find looks that match their plans and preferences. Below, users can scroll through real outfit posts from others who’ve traveled there, each with a “Shop the Look” button that links directly to the clothing items featured. At the bottom of the page, a Popular Store Locations section highlights top places to shop in that destination, based on user recommendations. Each store listing includes a clickable website link, its location, and an option to view reviews from other travelers.
